Snow Plowing Algorithm Needs Tweaking
So the last snow of the season, the unit let me down. It wasn't able to plow the 8 - 10 inches of snow that suddenly fell overnight at my place.
Issues:
1- The unit got bogged down and was slipping. However I was able to manually back up, raise the blower unit some more and then go forward successfully. Why can't the unit to that? It raises a little I think when it gets stuck but stops try to raise the head to max height when it gets stuck some more.
2- Connection stability needs fixing. How does the unit go from strong signal and then to losing signal and then back again in a span of 10 secs? The unit was just sitting there.
3- The robot needs to stop moving until the chute is pointed in the right direction.
4- Tell me or automatically move the robot if it is not on the charging pad correctly. The battery on the unit got drained and there was no notification about it. Tried to connect to it and the unit was completely dead.
Just some issues I remembered. Will post more ideas when I remember more.
