Winter Wisdom: Optimizing Yarbo for Wet Snow Challenges

Dear Yarbo Community,

We've been seeing snowfall in many parts of the world and it's heartwarming to see all of you sharing moments of Yarbo cleaning the snow. We're glad Yarbo is making your winter easier! However, we've noticed that some of you are dealing with mostly wet snow, which can be a bit annoying. So, we wanted to take a moment to share some valuable tips and adjustments to help your Yarbo tackle this wet snow more effectively.
To start with, there are certain adjustments that can be made to Yarbo itself. By configuring specific parameters, Yarbo can enhance its efficiency in handling wet snow.
  1. Protection Fence Removal: It is essential to start by removing Yarbo's protection fence when clearing wet snow. The Yarbo will not be able to absorb snow if this step is not taken, resulting in frozen snow accumulating on the fence, and hindering Yarbo's process of clearing wet snow.
  2. Diverter Removal: It is recommended to remove the diverter on the snow chute while clearing wet snow. If this cover is not removed, Yarbo's snow chute may become clogged, which will affect the efficiency of cleaning wet snow.
  3. Adjustment of the snow distance: The snow chute will be easier to clog if the snow deflector is adjusted at the minimum angle during the wet snow cleaning process. Therefore, it is suggested that you adjust the snow deflector at a higher angle during wet snow cleaning.
  4. Battery level: Yarbo's battery should be fully charged when cleaning wet snow. This is because operating in low power mode will reduce power output, causing the snow chute to get clogged more easily.
Furthermore, wet snow can vary in terms of its stickiness and composition, which ultimately impacts Yarbo's snow-cleaning results. Hence, it is important to consider the following two points, thus enhancing Yarbo's efficiency when dealing with different types of wet snow.
  1. Snow thickness and Auger Speed: If the thickness of wet snow is less than 1 inch, Yarbo will be unable to sweep and throw wet snow. Yarbo will perform better when the snow thickness is between 2 and 4 inches. For optimum efficiency, it is recommended to clean snow when the thickness of wet snow is between 2 and 4 inches with a high auger speed.
  2. The state of wet snow: There is a possibility that debris, such as pine needles or grass, will stick to the blades of the Yarbo if wet snow is sticky. It is recommended that you clean up the debris before you execute the work plan to prevent compromising the Yarbo's snow-throwing effect.
The wet snow does present some challenges, but these tips above can assist you in navigating it more smoothly. We acknowledge that there is still room for Yarbo's improvement, and our current priority and mission are to update and enhance it. During this time, we deeply appreciate you sharing your issues, providing suggestions, and offering your unwavering support and encouragement. We are always here to listen to your voice! So, if you have any suggestions, please don't hesitate to let us know. Thank you for being a valued member of the Yarbo community!
