Why Your Yarbo Work Plan Isn’t Running – Docking, Pathway & Settings Fix

[2024] Why is your work plan not working?

Docking Station and Pathway Setup

When creating your work plan, it is essential to first ensure that the docking station is properly set up.
Once the docking station is in place, you must draw a pathway that connects it to your designated work
area. This will allow the system to navigate efficiently between the docking station and the area that
needs to be cleared.
If you already have an existing work area and wish to add another, please follow this order:
  • First, create a new work area.
  • Then, draw the pathway to connect both work areas. This ensures the robot can smoothly transition between them.

Avoid Overlapping Work Areas

If you have multiple work areas, please make sure that these areas do not overlap. Overlapping work areas
can cause confusion in the system's navigation and may lead to inefficiencies in operation. Properly
spaced work areas will optimize the coverage and performance of your Yarbo.

Defining No-Go Zones

When setting up no-go zones, ensure that these zones are fully contained within your work area
boundaries. This ensures that the system will avoid the no-go zone while performing its tasks, without
affecting other areas within your work plan. For best results, check that the no-go zones are not too large or too close to the work area’s edges to
prevent potential issues during operation.

Snow Throwing Direction

For each work area, make sure to specify the snow throwing direction. This is a crucial setting because
if the snow throwing direction is not defined, Yarbo will not execute the work plan. Ensuring that the
snow is thrown away from obstacles, sensitive areas, and unwanted locations such as paths or property
boundaries is essential for smooth operation.
Defining the correct throwing direction helps optimize the snow clearing process, prevent snow from
being thrown in undesired areas, and avoid the need for rework. Remember that the direction should be aligned with your overall yard layout and the prevailing wind
direction for the most efficient snow removal.
