Hot Swap Warning

Hot Swap Warning

To ensure operational safety and equipment integrity, special attention must be paid to hot swap operations when using Yarbo devices. Below are the detailed hot swap warnings and related instructions:

What is Hot Swapping?

Hot swapping refers to the practice of inserting or removing hardware devices while the system is running without shutting down the power. Failing to power down before module replacement can lead to short circuits or electrical surges, damaging sensitive components. In Yarbo devices, hot swapping mainly involves the hot swapping of universal body and functional modules(lawn mower module/snow blower module), as well as the hot swapping of batteries and power connection cables.

Common Risks of Hot Swapping

  • Data Loss: Performing hot swapping while the device is transmitting data can result in data loss or corruption.
  • Equipment Damage: Improper operations may lead to damage to interfaces, circuit boards, or other hardware components.
  • Personal Injury: Incorrect handling can cause electric shock or other physical injuries.

Module Replacement Operation Guide

  • Power Off the Device: Before replacing the module, ensure the Yarbo device is completely powered off to avoid electrical interruptions and surges, thus protecting the main circuit board.
  • Replace the Module: Carefully complete the replacement of the functional module.
  • Restart the Device: After confirming the module has been safely replaced, restore power and restart the device.
