[2024] How to Operate the Auger Safely?
The Yarbo Snow Blower is designed to efficiently clear snow from surfaces, but handling the auger safely is essential to prevent injury or equipment damage. This guide provides important safety considerations to ensure the safe operation of the Yarbo Snow Blower’s auger system. Please review and adhere to these guidelines to maintain a safe and effective snow-clearing experience.
The Snow Blower Protection Fence : Integral to Our Triple-Layer Safety System
The
Snow Blower Protection Fence enhances our Triple-Layer Safety System, which includes side cameras, a front camera, millimeter-wave radars, and a bumper. It not only protects your feet from the spinning auger but also shields the auger from hard obstacles during automated operations, ensuring safe and efficient performance.
Safety Precautions for Auger Operation
- Default Auger Angle Setting: In default mode, the Snow Blower’s auger angle is set to the lowest position while following a pathway. If you need to adjust the auger angle separately, you can do so after drawing the pathway by entering the Work Plan edit mode. Navigate as follows:
Main page -> Work Plan -> Modify -> Pathway -> Setting Page.
- Secure Installation of the Snow Blower Guard: Before operation, ensure that the protective guard on the Snow Blower module is securely installed. We highly recommend not removing the Auger Cage, as it is essential for safe operation.
- Power Down Before Contact: During operation in snow-clearing mode, Yarbo’s auger will be actively running within the Work Plan. Always press the Stop button on the rear of Yarbo or use the Stop command in the app before approaching or touching the Yarbo. Ensure that the power is completely off before handling any part of the device.
- Keep Hands and Feet Away from the Auger: Never attempt to touch or clear debris from the auger while it is running. Ensure the Yarbo is fully powered down and the auger has come to a complete stop before attempting any inspection or maintenance.
- Avoid Loose Clothing and Accessories: Loose clothing, scarves, or dangling items can become entangled with the auger. Always wear fitted clothing, gloves, and sturdy footwear to prevent accidents.
- Add Large Obstacles to No-Go Zone When Necessary: For enhanced safety, designate any large obstacles as no-go zones within the Work Plan. This helps Yarbo avoid these areas entirely, reducing the risk of collision or damage during snow-clearing operations.
Following these precautions will help ensure a safe and effective snow-clearing experience with Yarbo. For more information on troubleshooting or operational questions, please refer to the Yarbo support center or contact our support team.
