[2024] How to set the number of Perimeter Mowing Laps in the lawn mowing work plan

To enhance the efficiency and completeness of lawn mowing, especially along the boundaries, the Yarbo mower module now includes a feature to set the number of Perimeter Mowing Laps. This feature helps prevent missed areas and ensures a thorough mowing experience. Below are the steps and guidelines for setting the number of Perimeter Mowing Laps in your lawn mowing work plan.

  1. Accessing Area Settings
Open the Yarbo App: Launch the Yarbo app on your mobile device.

Go to Setting, find the "Area Settings" section where you manage different zones and settings for your lawn.

  1. Click the Tool icon to access More Settings

  1. Expand the "Advanced Settings" menu

Find "Perimeter Mowing Laps"

In the area settings, you will find a new option labeled "Perimeter Mowing Laps"
By default, the number of Perimeter Mowing Laps is set to 2.
Users can increase this setting to 3 or 4 laps, depending on their needs.
Limitations:
Zone-Specific: The Perimeter Mowing Laps setting applies only to the selected area and does not affect the boundaries of nogo zones.
Automatic Plans: This setting cannot be modified in auto plans; it must be set manually in the area settings.
Pattern Dependency: The Perimeter Mowing Laps count is only available when the mowing pattern is set to "zigzag". If the mowing pattern is set to "Spiral," the Perimeter Mowing Laps option will not be displayed.
  1. Benefits of Increasing Perimeter Mowing Laps
Improved Coverage: Increasing the number of Perimeter Mowing Laps ensures that the edges of your lawn are thoroughly mowed, reducing the likelihood of missed spots.
Customizable: Users can tailor the number of laps to their specific lawn conditions and preferences.
Efficiency: While increasing laps can extend the mowing time, it ensures a more comprehensive and neat finish.
  1. Example Scenario
Imagine you have a rectangular lawn with a complex border. By setting the Perimeter Mowing Laps to 3, you can ensure that the mower makes multiple passes along the edges, effectively covering any difficult-to-reach areas and maintaining a uniform appearance.

Conclusion
By utilizing the new Perimeter Mowing Laps feature in the Yarbo app, you can significantly improve the performance and coverage of your lawn mowing tasks. Follow the steps outlined above to set the number of Perimeter Mowing Laps and enjoy a well-maintained lawn every time.
