[2024] How to Remove Skid Shoes
Always turn off and disconnect your Yarbo before attempting any removal or maintenance task.
Using Skid Shoes is an essential step to enhancing the Snow Blower Module's performance on uneven surfaces. It makes it possible for the snow blower to move smoothly over a wide range of surfaces, such as pavements or gravel since they lift the snow blower slightly so that the Scraper Bar does not touch the ground. Moreover, the Skid Shoes not only protect the surface that is being cleared but also the snow blower itself, since they leave a small gap between the auger housing and the ground to ensure that Yarbo and the cleared surface wear less.
However, Since it is a consumable, easily damaged component, Therefore, you may sometimes need to remove it for maintenance or replacement.
Step 1: Gather the Tools Needed
10mm hex socket wrench screwdriver
Step 2: Unscrew the Bolts
Using a 10mm hex socket screwdriver to remove the four bolts on the left and right sides of the snow blower head’s skid shoes.
Step 3: Remove the Skid Shoes
After removing the bolts, you can take the Skid Shoes off the snow blower module. Please handle with care and avoid forcing the removal to prevent damage to other components.
