How to Fix the Common Issues with Yarbo Tool?

The Yarbo Tool should be used in the following situations

Connectivity Issues with both Yarbo device and RTK Base :
  • The Yarbo app can not connect to the rover via the hotspot connection. 【Rover -> Network-> Wi-Fi Connection】
  • The hotspot of Yarbo's rover cannot be found on the setting page of the mobile device. 【Rover -> Network-> Wi-Fi Connection】
  • The rover can not be connected to through the app, but it's essential to check the progress of the firmware update. 【Rover-> Firmware Update】
  • The RTK Base can not be connected to Wi-Fi. 【Base ->WiFi Connection】
Troubleshooting Issues:
  • The rover is stuck displaying colorful lights and will not reboot. 【Rover->Status->Deep Clean】【Rover->Status->Docker->Restart】
  • Remote debugging is required, but there is no internet connection available【Rover-> Network-> Wifi Connection and 4G Connection】
Version Checking:
  • It is necessary to check if the rover is on the latest firmware version. 【Rover->Firmware Update】
Additionally, the Yarbo Tool should be used for the following actions:
  • Generating log files: When troubleshooting complex issues or when requested by the support team for further analysis.
  • Restarting within Docker: If the Yarbo device encounters software-related issues that may be resolved by restarting within the Docker environment. This action is typically taken after other troubleshooting steps have been exhausted and when software instability is suspected as the cause of the problem.

Instructions for Using Yarbo Tool

Yarbo Device
  1. Download and install the latest version of the Yarbo Tool on your laptop.
  2. Connect your laptop WiFi to the Yarbo rover's hotspot. The default hotspot name should be something like "Yarbo_rover_XXXX". The password for the initial connection is set to "87654321".


  3. Launch the Yarbo Tool application on your laptop. Activate"Connected Yarbo" and ensure the serial number shown matches the serial number on the Yarbo rover unit you are connected to.


  4. Then click the "Refresh" button to review the resource usage statistics shown. 


  5. Proceed to click "Deep Clean" and confirm by selecting "OK" when prompted. It will initiate a process to clear cached files and data from the device. This action is typically performed to improve the Yarbo device's performance and free up storage space by removing unnecessary or obsolete data.


  6. Clicking on "Generate Log" initiates the process of creating a log file containing detailed information about the device's operations, settings, and any errors or issues encountered. This action is typically performed to gather diagnostic data that can assist the technical support team in identifying and resolving issues with the device.


  7. Click on "Restart" to initiate the process of rebooting the software of the Yarbo device. This action is typically performed to address any software-related issues, reset configurations, or apply updates that may require a system restart to take effect.


  8. Select "Network" from the left menu. Click the "Switch Channel" button and verify the number of current channel shown is between 1-11. Note: The loading time may be long or the interface may be stuck, please check whether the Wi-Fi is disconnected.


  1. Go to "WiFi Connection". Click the drop-down and select the desired WiFi SSID. If the WiFi network you want to connect to is not shown. Please enter the WiFi network name (SSID) and enter the correct WiFi password. Then, click "Connect". Upon successful connection, the status in the lower right corner will indicate "WiFi Connection Successful." Once connected, select the "Get WiFi Status" button to confirm the connection status. If the Wi-Fi connection is successful. The Wi-Fi Current Status will be displayed as "Connected".


  1. To enable cellular data, navigate to "4G Connection" and slide the button to enable the 4G connection. Afterward, click the "Check" button to review the status and details of the cellular connection. The ICCID, RSSI, RSRQ, CSO, and signal values can be utilized to assess the connection status.


  1. Go to "Firmware Update" in the left menu. Look at the "Fetch" status and confirm that the completion percentage is 100%, indicating that the rover has successfully updated to the latest firmware version. 



RTK Base
  1. Download and Install Yarbo Tool: Ensure you have the latest version of the Yarbo Tool installed on your laptop.
  2. Connect to Yarbo Base's Hotspot: Connect your laptop's WiFi to the Yarbo base's hotspot, named something like "Yarbo_base_XXXXXX.” The initial connection password is set to "87654321."
  1. Connect to Desired WiFi SSID: Select the desired WiFi SSID from the drop-down menu, enter the correct WiFi password, and then click "Connect." Afterward, click on "Get WiFi Status" to confirm a successful connection to the Yarbo base's hotspot via WiFi. The WiFi Current Status should now display as "Connected.

  1. Activate 4G Connection: Slide the button to enable the 4G connection, then click on "Check" to review the status.
